Throughout his remarkable career, he has managed multiple national teams, including Nepal, India (twice), Malawi, Sudan, Rwanda, and Pakistan, guiding squads through major competitions and achieving historic milestones. Under his leadership, teams have seen significant improvements in FIFA rankings, key tournament qualifications, and breakthrough performances.

Stephen’s tactical insight and developmental mindset have also influenced football at club level — from reviving teams in challenging situations to leading East Bengal FC to successful seasons in the Indian Super League and serving as Sporting Director at Pafos FC.
